Remember Avril Lavigne? Well, social media does. Twitter and Facebook users voted the Canadian singer the most loved singer of the last 12 months, according to Amplicate data. 97% of opinions on the 28 year-old divorcee were positive over the year.
Not everyone was enamoured of the petite Canadian singer/songwriter. There were some rabid dissenters taking up arms against the sea of Lavigne love:

Avril was only marginally ahead of her closest rival for the social media crown, Britney Spears. 96% of opinions on the pop veteran were flipping positive in the last 12 months, even after the divorce, the head-shaving and other flipping disasters.
The most hated singer on social media, on the other hand, was Lil Wayne. 25% of opinions on the rapper were negative, with the chief complaint against him being that he represents everything that’s wrong with contemporary hip hop.
